Nostradamian Gifting

A king left so so so many predictions, foretellings, and edicts behind that the society has not needed a king since then. Like Nostrodamus, these range from specific to broad, some are obvious and some impenetrable until they happen. Some have directions, some are merely informational.

In stead of a king they have had a head seer that attempts to interpret and unravel the riddles and prognostications. There are sects that read different central interpretations differently, and disagree to the point of bloodshed.
